Bill Phillips: This bit certainly has. One of the sea front cafe's I used to work in has recently been demolished but a lot is still like it was when I was a kid. I suspect not for much longer though
this is just the greatest composition of a harbour with all of that colour on a sunny day Bill...
the only fault with this shot are the two mosquito boats on the dock between the green and blue covered boats....peter
Bill Phillips: Is that what they are? I am ignorant when it comes to boats
Blimey the character of the place has taken somewhat of a hit hasn't it. This could be anywhere, indeed Portishead looks similar..
Bill Phillips: This is the old docks. The one part that has really been destroyed. I suspect that much of the seafront will be unrecognisable in a few years too
Now that's not a view I would expect to see in Exmouth. I would expect at something more olde-worlde. I expect those places on the right with the balconies have another 0 added to the purchase price.
I prefer the original "Duelling Banjos" in the film "Deliverance".
Bill Phillips: I like the deliverance version but the playing on this (which i guess predates the film by some years) is amazing!
This is the one part of Exmouth that has changed beyond recognition. however, I suspect that much of the seafront will change over the next few years and it will no longer be the Exmouth I knew as a child
I think you were quite taken with Exmouth, and I can see why. Perhaps we will visit in the Spring, so thanks for the tip-off
Bill Phillips: Much of it is as I remember it as a child Lisl. This was the doks and is totally changed. I suspect much of the sea front will be developed in the not distant future and it will not be the place I knew any longer
They were still doing a lot of demolition/rebuilding when we visited there two years ago. Enjoyed the video, I haven't seen those two for years.
Bill Phillips: There has been a lot of change but on the whole the seafront is not too far removed from what it was. I suspect it will be changing more in the next few years
And I remember watching Hee Haw when I was little!
These two could certainly play!
