Hanbury Church 3

Well we now are in virtual shutdown in the UK. All shops other than food or pharmacists will have to close, all libraries and playgrounds and no gatherings of more than two people

It is  strange feeling but I have thousands of snaps I can twiddle with so it it isn't all gloom

that is indeed a wide view packed in, Bill. i can imagine the lockdown has quite some consequences, especially for those daily wage/gig based earners.
Bill Phillips: The self employed are very worried although there is supposed to be some support for them. I am not sure anyone quite knows how that will work. We are in unchartered waters at the moment and just have to hope that it all works out to minimise the loss of life

I like this wider view, Bill.

Why are the ruwes more like corrals?
Bill Phillips: I am no expert on churches but these box pews are not uncommon and I tend to think of them being more common in non-conformist churches rather than C of E ones but I don't know if that is true
J'aime les arcades.
Bill Phillips: It is a handsome church
Lovely!
And... a so funny to hear that song in a foreign language!
Bill Phillips: I had to laugh when I found it E

Yes, I like your twiddles - What a big church! We have here the same situation in these grim times. Many shops in our town are now busy online, and you can order meals from the restaurants.
Bill Phillips: Many small businesses here are offering delivery. I hope we remember them when things finally get back to normal

I am forced to agree the 8mm lens has its uses indoors
Bill Phillips: It gives a whole new perspective

It makes me sad that I won't be able to see the interior of any Churches for the duration, Bill. Fortunately, I have a huge number of photos of interiors to look at
Bill Phillips: We will miss a lot of things sadly. Luckily I too have plenty of pictures to play around with and a garage full of books to read

Your comment to Ray is quite right
Bill Phillips: Thanks Lisl, I thought you would be able to correct me if wrong smile

I have not heard that song on Deutsche. I hope cabin fever has t kicked in yet.
Bill Phillips: Far too busy for that. The worst thing is not seeing the boys ....apart from on WhatsApp
looks smiley and welcoming
Bill Phillips: You can repent cheerfully Rob
That wide angle lens works well in a church. As I said last week I'm cutting back to Monday to Friday only in a few weeks time, two non-posting weekends is nearly another week and by doing so what I've got lined up stretches further as well. I've also dug some more of Maureens prints from the 70's, pre children, and some old stuff I done at school, that should see me through for a while.
Bill Phillips: It does Brian. I was looking t some old prints of the family that the colour has gone very red (a Kodak problem I believe) so I will probably see what I cn do with them in Photoshop. I have had a go at a couple and it is surprising what you can recover

A fine subject for your Unknown camera with the Unknown lens; obviously excellent products.

We are in unchartered waters now with the latest restrictions. I've taken advantage that ic an go out to do one form of exercise. I have some some self-employed friends and they are in dire straits with no income now. Very worrying times for them particularly.
Bill Phillips: The Samyang lens is manual so it is all incognito

This actually works well.
Bill Phillips: You are correct comrade
We are all into your shut down conditions. I was the last elective surgery of my orthopaedic surgeon.
Bill Phillips: It is a global pandemic and we are all in the same boat Care. Stay well
it looks like a humble church Bill... but the prayers are the same as those that you would find in a cathedral....petersmile
A fine shot, Bill.

the closed pews are such an intriguing element
Bill Phillips: You see that a lot in the nonconformist churches of the time, less so in Church of England churches
