These look like snake's head fritillaries. Fritillaria meleagris is a Eurasian species of flowering plant in the lily family. Its common names include snake's head fritillary, snake's head, chess flower, frog-cup, guinea-hen flower, guinea. Every April I go to the Cotswold Water Park to see them growing wild
Bill Phillips: They are a pleasing flower. Thank you for the botanical info
It may be "weird," Bill, but you can at least tell what it is! I love the colors especially.
Bill Phillips: I haven't totally lost touch with reality Ginnie......yet grin

I just did a search and it seems that it takes 8 years for these to bloom (from the start of growing) so this flower is older than 8 years.
Wonderful twiddle, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Well I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time then Lady P

This time your camera blurred in strokes - almost concocted a painting in the process.
Bill Phillips: To be fair the camera produced a normal picture...the computer did the rest...I just pressed a few buttons
A wonderful rarish flower done up quite well in the twiddle machine.
Bill Phillips: I had fun doing it!
Nice result from messing about, these are rather nice flowers in reality.
Bill Phillips: They are indeed Brian

I has the same style as the painting that Philine showed Yesterday. Put that blokes name on it and leave it on the bric a brac stall and someone could make a fortune with it.
