Pirate!

Today is world book day. At Ted's school instead of the children dressing up as a favourite character they decided to get the parents and children to make a character by decorating a potato. This was Andy's effort. It took him hours to make and the decoration is made from modelling clay and baked in the oven. The limbs are fixed with wires. I think my son in law is very talented. Ted loves this book about pirates!

Today I am reading Knausgaard. Is this life size?
Bill Phillips: It would be a very big potato if it was life size. I am reading Elly Griffiths

All very clever. I thought at first that this was Ted’s efforts!
Bill Phillips: That would have been the work of a child prodigy as Ted is only 4 1/2 years old
I do not know the date but there is a 'talk like a pirate day' that is great fun.

Andy's pirate is very good!
Bill Phillips: World book day is very popular here
