A bit smokey or hazey, which adds to the attractiveness of the scene, Bill.

What a grey day! I like the reflections in the murky water.
Bill Phillips: It was very grey. We made a mistake walking across the field back towards the house....the fact that is used to be marshland should have forewarned us

What a quiet place in opposite to Chris' picture - a weather like here - we are longing for some sun!
Bill Phillips: We had a couple of days of sun but now are back to grey and with the promise of yet more rain!

Still Helenand the boys and Kathryn are coming over this afternoon for tea and cake...and scones with clotted cream and jam.....
Grey and rainy as winter sounds okay some days when We are in the midst of a snowstorm. In reality, I think I would get depressed. White snow and blue skies are actually cheery. We do not have green grass lik you do for the winter. That is nice.
Bill Phillips: We have had a lot of grey days when it never really feels it is daytime. I don't much care for it. A crisp frosty day with a bit of sun and blue skies lifts the spirits
Looking somewhat different to the day of our gathering. I don't recall seeing those two bridges.
Bill Phillips: Did you go down as far as this lake Brian? It was a very grey day but it was good to get out of the house and have a change of scene
there is a mist in the air that softens this wonderful scene Bill... love the reflections....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thank you Peter pleased you like it
You take us to some dumps.
