Wow! Is it set up for a wedding reception?
Bill Phillips: I would think so E. It is a wonderful setting for a wedding
Quite a set up Bill...
Bill Phillips: Impressive...I suspect a wedding here would cost a bob or two

I like your acceptance of the position at head of table, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Modesty forbids that I say it is my rightful place Ray
Quelle grande tablée !
Bill Phillips: Looks wonderful doesn't it?

Moral of meal sessions like this don’t get sat next to a boring old git.

Is that your seat Bill, and we’re you the after dinner speaker, relaying tales of life on the road as a rep?
Bill Phillips: That would be the ideal way to clear the room
don't get stuck between two long time friends who don't you know.
Bill Phillips: I have had that happen and they talk across you as though you were invisible
A nicely set table is a thing of joy.
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Care.
Who wouldn't enjoy sitting down for a meal in such fine surroundings.
Bill Phillips: It would be rather grand Brian!

Yes people who know each other but you will almost always talk over, around, in front of or behind you.

As a design professor I encourage design students not to use 3 person couches / sofas for the same reason

Much like flying in the middle seat and the window and aise people know each other.
Bill Phillips: The trouble is here that they now make two seater sofas so wide they can seat 3 but the one in the middle has the the edge of both cushions so is both the least comfortable and the one who gets talked across grin

Is this your dining room or that at Tiff Towers? I think it needs at least two more sets of cruets.
Bill Phillips: This is in my privater chapel where I can eat and worship food at the same time . I agree there seems to be an insufficiency
Only the second time I've seen a church set up for some lay event - the other was in Utrecht cathedral.
Bill Phillips: This used to be an Abbey but is now an hotel
Someone needs a talking to. The top chair is slightly off centre.
