Remembrance Sunday

I saw this in Barnards Green in Malvern in July and thought I would post it well in advance. Thinking about it we should have left the EU by now. Whatever its faults the EU has helped to maintan peace on the continent of Europe for my lifetime. I hope our leaving does not signal an end to a closer union of European countries. Too many have already died for there to be another major conflict on European soil.

I like your thoughts, Bill, but worry this pulling away by GB might start a collapse of the union.
Bill Phillips: I think that having seen what a fiasco our leaving is might discourage others

My sentiments entirely

But never mind. We'll have a nice roast chlorinated-chicken celebration meal when this is all over..
Bill Phillips: and we are getting Wendy's too!! More cr*p from across the pond

A fine thought, Bill. More people have died in conflict since the end of WWII than died during it apparently so I'm unsure if a union of European countries makes much difference.
Bill Phillips: But apart from the Balkans not on Mainland Europe.
Jolie sculpture avec les oiseaux et toute cette verdure.
Bill Phillips: It is a fine memorial Martine

I can mirror your thinking , Billiam.
Bill Phillips: Thanks comrade
Don't utter such a thought. Our remembrance Day is tomorrow, always on the 11th.
Bill Phillips: 11th for us is Armistice day when we have a 2 minute silence at 11am. Remembrance Day is the nearest Sunday when we gather around the various war memorials. The big one is, of course, at the Cenotaph in London
A fine sculpture Bill. I think the nations remaining in the EU are too closely knitted together for conflict to break out again between them, it is that idiot woman in Scotland who is likely to cause most of the problems within our shores, by heck she must hate we English despite us giving them most of the money they need to exist as a nation. Rant over, it's Sunday smile
Bill Phillips: She is not easy to like.
