Just a load of waffle

I dedicate this to the politicians around the world who are totally inept....if only they knew it.

Well we are now having yet another general election....Just my luck if Bojo gets elected and flogs the NHS to the yanks just as I enter the decade when all the bits start to malfunction and I might need treatment.

Great shot. I love the photo on the stark black background.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Beth
Anyone who doesn't treasure the N.H.S. should spend some time here in the U.S. and listen to some people who have to deal with medical matters...Its frightening !
Bill Phillips: We read about it here but I don't think people realise that the NHS is being undermined. Saddling it with debt from the PFI hospital building scam has just added to the problem.
Very good, Bill.
And as Frank said... it's horrible here. Horrible. Yesterday I had a 62 year old patient who 5 days prior had perfect vision, and came to us with vision so poor he couldn't fill out his name, and a constellation of symptoms we could not put together. He'd spent a night in the hospital, had an MRI, spinal tap and blood work... and now we've sent him off to have a neurological work up. He has NO insurance. His monthly retirement (pension) pays him $5.00 too much to qualify for welfare. I can't even believe it.
Bill Phillips: We are already reading about American drug companies wanting to increase prices to the NHS as part of a "trade deal" with the US and how people can't afford drugs over there and simply go away and die. The creation of the NHS and the welfare state was the singular achievement of the post war government.

Waffles seem to be a staple part of an American breakfast from what Ive seen when being Stateside. Never tried one.
Bill Phillips: They will probably be part of the traditional English breakfast before long, along with grits(what the hell are they?) and pancakes

a nice portrait - but very critical, sad words - I read Elizabeth' comment ....
Bill Phillips: We live in very turbulent times Philine and I fear for the future

Britain is going to become a small suburb of the USA Bill.
Bill Phillips: I fear it has been for some time Chad
Great shot Bill! smile
Sad but real commentary.......
Bill Phillips: We are living in turbulent times
I can see the incompetence by all the holes in his waffle.
Bill Phillips: I thought waffles were supposed to have holes
A fine shot Bill. I'm already fed up with all the waffle going on, I will be mad by December 12th.at this rate especially if JC and his comrades keep telling us how lovely it would be to return to the 1970's, I don't want that for my children and Grandchildren under any circumstances.
Bill Phillips: I am fascinated by elections and always stay up to watch the results. Over 30 minion people will vote but only those in a handful of seats will actually decide who governs the country. But, maybe this time it could be different. If I had to bet I would say Bojo will win a majority. But he is quite capable of blowing it. I have been pro Europe for as long as I can remember so I can only vote one way. It is the way I have voted in almost every election both national and local. I did vote for a Tory in the local elections some years ago but he was a friend of mine. Had Corbyn not allowed himself to be hijacked by the Momentum lot then I would have probably voted Labour. After all I joined the Labour Party to vote him in and get rid of the quasi Tory Blairites. I didn't renew my membership. Interestingly if all the people who voted remain vote Libdem and the other votes are spread between labor and the tories than the Lib Dems would win with a majority of 446 grin
