ChadAir back in service!

A fine shot, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Hahaha. A bit advanced for Chad Air
A beauty, indeed. I worked with a bloke once who'd had the misfortune to fly in one. He'd grimace in horror at the recollection of the noise, shuddering flight, and length of time of pre jet transatlantic flight.
Bill Phillips: Those were the days!
hmm... to be honest, i am not too convinced about the elegance of this craft, Bill. mind you that i am no expert on aerodynamics or design fundamentals. the trio of tail wings is interesting.
Bill Phillips: Nor am I but I do rather like the look of it
It is a beauty!! As is your shot!
Bill Phillips: I think so thanks E
Je préférais les avions anciens qui ont beaucoup de charme.
Bill Phillips: This is fairly ancient grin
I vaguely remember these, they did have a certain elegance.
Bill Phillips: There is something about propellors. And the tail is very distinctive

Yes a super modern design in its time
Bill Phillips: It was regarded as such in its time
Slick as a whistle, Bill!
Bill Phillips: I like that Ginnie. Describes it perfectly

Teeny Weeny Airways. In my army days, before everyone who is in the services is a hero, not matter what criminal offences they commit, this is how the Army Air Corps was ridiculed. They were known as TWA.
Bill Phillips: I detect a certain undertone here Chad

My first ever visit to an airport (must have been 8 to 9 yrs old), there was such a plane parked and being prepared for the flight to USA. Yes, it was also a TWA.
Bill Phillips: You have a good memory Louis.
It is a beauty Bill..........I had no idea that model aircraft replicas are so good in details smile
Bill Phillips: They are very realistic. These are very large models.

This is a beauty, Bill. That tail is wonderful.
Lockheed....that name is very well known here, Prins Bernhard (spouse of Queen Juliana, got a lot of money from Lockheed to make sure they got an order from the Dutch, not done of course... loooong story)
Bill Phillips: Ooooo a whiff of scandal!
I am too young to remember these.
Bill Phillips: I may well have see them when we lived in London but I was too young to remember
> I like how the plane is at the bottom of the photo.
Bill Phillips: Thank You Jacquelyn

Where did yo see all these aeroplanes - was it a show?
Bill Phillips: It was at a show at RAF Cosford. I went with a friend of mine and it was great fun
A fine lookingt aircraft, I seem to remember seeing one of these many years ago.
Bill Phillips: They were indeed. I probably saw one but was too young to remember it
