Fox Talbot was a bit earlier as photographer than you - but this is a very fine photo - I was in Lacock, too, but a bit earlier than you, too.
Bill Phillips: I am not sure but I think this was our first visit . Actually it could be our only visit!

Compare your digital photo with Fox Talbot's one: Lacock Abbey towards Sharington Tower in about 1844- https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-38943511
Bill Phillips: I wonder how long it took him to take that almost identical picture, both the taking, developing and printing?

I wonder what Foxr-Talbot would make of it all now? So few photos actually appear in a physical form these days.
Bill Phillips: He would buy a Fuji grin
Another ruin you go to ,and your snaps don't get any better.
Bill Phillips: Just to demonstrate my ability I refer you to the link that Philine posted showing that Fox Talbot took an almost exactly the same composition. So if it is good enough for him it is good enough for me grin
It is a beautiful place, Bill smile
Bill Phillips: I can only agree Martin
the Lacock architecture turned out great Bill... except the movement of the people turned out blurry...
i had a Sony Cybershot back in 2003 it gave me about the same results....petersmile
Bill Phillips: At the time we all thought they were amazing
On my shortlist of places to go but a bit of a stretch from Shepshed I believe.
Bill Phillips: It must be a good two and a half hours drive Brian but well worth it
