Well we have seen mock Tudor, Mock Georgian and here we have mock 1930s.

Has there ever been a more beautiful voice?

Jolies maisons avec les briques assorties aux toits.
Yes - well, at least they're not hideous. That's what we've got going up here in our sweet little town. Hideoso.
Bill Phillips: Oh dear....no they are not hideous, unoriginal yes, overpriced yes but not hideous

We need more houses ..surely back to back terrace housing will return. oR what about postwar prefabs.
Bill Phillips: I went to school with someone who lived in a prefab and Ange had an Aunt who lived in one. They were remarkably good

Mock beautiful - I like these houses with their foregardens, often I saw there only paeking cars.
Bill Phillips: They are not bad looking houses. It is just a shame that they can't come up with something that isn't just a copy of the past

...but not at 1930s prices, I would think. The one with the brown garage doors looks to be huge!
Bill Phillips: They are a fair size.
Why? Why do we mock? New housing should define the age, I think. it must be hard to sing holding flowers.
Bill Phillips: Different meaning of Mock Mary. Mock as in faux. These houses although new hark back to the sort of houses we were building in the 1930s
I think Joan Sutherland could have sung juggling three chainsaws and still sounded wonderful
Quite reasonable looking houses but not what one would call as 'affordable' for ordinary people are they, sadly there's a great lack of those being built, not enough profit I guess.
Bill Phillips: Affordable by a few....but not by me that's for sure

They look as if there is more space between them than there is in some of our new builds.
Bill Phillips: Certainly better than some which are detached by the width of a brick!
Have you noticed whats missing, Bill ?
Bill Phillips: No.....what is missing Frank?

looks like a well planned and beautiful community
Bill Phillips: I doubt it will ever be a community Sherri.
