In a way I could see his point. Chocciebox to the point of extreme can bring about apoplexy..
Bill Phillips: Too much of anything can have that effect Chris......cat's eyes for example
Sometimes you need to not listen to Michael Shaw, Bill, and I mean that sincerely. smile
Bill Phillips: grin grin

All very delightful. This what the British Empire is all about. I can just imagine in enjoying a fine cream tea whist sat in the garden (but hoping that any wretched photographers keep their distance).
Bill Phillips: Good Grief! I think these were originally built for retired estate workers.

I read Allan's comment. So this is the British Empire? I thought it is something else.

I thought it was about hotel verandas with slow revolving roof fans, somewhere in the (sub)tropical climes. Gentlemen (also known as robber barons) in cheesecutters and piths, lounging about, while sipping their gins and tonic and building red noses. When there was no electricity, other gentlemen (also referred to as serfs) slowly waving palm fronds about.
Bill Phillips: Originally the military wing of the East India Company it developed into the biggest Empire of all time. Trouble is we can't quite seem to accept that the days of Empire are long gone and we are just a small island off the coast of Mainland Europe.
Choccy box is good with me.
Bill Phillips: It is what I do best grin

Looking good, afternoon tea in the garden would go down a treat.
Bill Phillips: would madam care for a biscuit?
It looks even more delightful from this angle.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Brian. The whole place is a delight
A lovely place - and who's to say chocy box is bad!?
Bill Phillips: Well as it is the mainstay of what I do.......
