photoblog image It's a try!

It's a try!

I think.....I went to watch Worcester Warriors against Leicester Tigers on the 24th of February. We were helping Acorns children's hospice with a bucket bucket collection. Every season the club support this collection and it raises several thousand pounds.

The volunteers are all given tickets to the match which is a very nice gesture and I was able to see Worcester get a rare win. Actually this is only the 4th time I have seen Worcester play over several years and they have always won! They should hire me as the mascot!

Wow. Lot's of action in this one. It is a well-captured moment.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Bev. It is an action packed game
Good action!
Bill Phillips: There is plenty of action but half the time it is not easy to work out what is actually happening
Good catch Bill....
Bill Phillips: Thanks Frank
Superbe photo en pleine action.
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Martine

The block on the right seem to be trying to establish a rival scrum, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Lord alone knows what he was up to Ray

Where's the ball then?
Bill Phillips: That was the problem but eventually it was decided that it was not a try...or was it? I can't remember
I assume this is ruby, Bill, and if so, I would have LOVED watching such a game. I would have gladly been a volunteer for you. smile Great victory shot!
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Rugby Ginnie.

This picture sums up well the reason rugby holds zero interest for me.
Bill Phillips: It is not my favourite game. Half the players seem to have little idea what the rules are and virtually none of the crowd do either

A number of players are convinced it is a try. As for being a mascot - include free travel and attendance to all matches, along with a good stipend.
Bill Phillips: I should be so lucky grin

Great action picture of a "gentleman's sport", Bill. I hope you left your phone number with the captain of the team wink...
Bill Phillips: No it is a hooligan's sport played by gentlemen whereas football is a gentleman's sport played by hooligans
A superb photo!
Bill Phillips: Thank you so much and thanks for dropping by!
Looks like a SC meet up and everybody is fighting over the cake, going to Fleetwood to try out a breakfast place for you.Best give yourself a good 3 hours to get to us as the M6 is a pain in the rear with all the roadworks.
Bill Phillips: Nothing new with the M6 then

"Owszat?" Two if the players want to be excused from the pitch, I believe.
Bill Phillips: They are asking for their ball back
There's some big fellas on that field!
Bill Phillips: Rugby players are huge...even the wingers!

what a fine action shot

the shadows clearly show you have wonderful weather for this event
Bill Phillips: It was a glorious day Sherri
I wasn't a great one at school for ball sports, apart from Hockey which I played for the works junior team for a while after I left school, but Rugby was right at the bottom of the list for me personally, trouble is I've never been attracted by any sports involving the use of a ball except perhaps Snooker.
Bill Phillips: I played a bit of Rugby at school but was fairly useless at most sports. My regret is never having any ability at cricket which I love as a game.
great action shot Bill... i would hate to be the one on the bottom fighting to hang on to the ball....petersmile
Bill Phillips: It would not be. lot of fun Peter grin
Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh - What a Referee!
Bill Phillips: He disallowed two Leicester tries so was OK in the eyes of the Warriors supporters
