Une décoration originale.
Bill Phillips: Lovely isn't it Martine?
looks like the bike ploughed in there and got stuck
Bill Phillips: It struck me as an elaborate way of preventing it being stolen Rob
Where can I sit!
Bill Phillips: On your thumbs Ray
This is a nice display Bill. Wynton is a mean trumpeter...
Bill Phillips: Apparently he hasn't performed classical music since the 90s which is a crying shame. I have actually found a recording of him playing this along with the Hummel trumpet concerto and one by Leopold Mozart
Lovely shot!
Though this isn't the kind of music I can just sit and listen to (I want to dance to it...), watching Marsalis play- and listening to each note come out of that instrument so sharply and accurately, is a delight. The entire Marsalis family are amazing musicians.
Bill Phillips: You dance to Haydn? I had not heard of him but he is one heck of a trumpet player

I am intrigued by the pink milk churn, something I have never seen before
Bill Phillips: I have not seen pink milk either except as a strawberry milk shake

People in pink houses won't leave impolite notices smile

Well then, you like Wynton Marsalis, so try to get his album "Carnaval" - brilliant trumpeting and a lot of classic. There are pieces on it, where it is difficult for me to make out when he is breathing. Until you have bought the CD, you can listen to it here
Bill Phillips: I have downloaded an album of him playing the Haydn Trumpet concerto so I will have a look for this one.

Bill you made my day with that music!!! Tears in my eyes, when I close my eyes I hear my dad, he was a great trumpet player and he would play this over and over again....
He would often practice in the bathroom upstairs, the acoustics were great there.....
This trumpeter is great.

Love your picture... who would climb on the bike... a butterfly??
Bill Phillips: I had not heard of him until Louis told me about him. He is just brilliant!

An interesting gardening technique.

I remember listening to Marsalis on vinyl - superb! Thank you for the reminder.
Bill Phillips: I have to confess I had never heard of him until Louis told me about him. My loss! He is amazing
A lady who owned a gift shop in Shepshed had a bike with similar decoration in our main street, sadly she closed the shop earlier this year. Great video, that trumpet sounds so clear and bright, I haven't heard this piece for a very long time.
Bill Phillips: He is a wonderful trumpet player and I have always like this concerto

Now this is what happens when you don't clean your bike for a few years - things grow on it. It's a shame it needs that notice on it.
Bill Phillips: A shame but an inevitability
i love this bright and beautiful sidewalk flower garden Philine....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Danke dir. Es war eine sehr hübsche Ausstellung
thank you too Bill... thank for the concerto... loved the trumpets....petersmile

Bill Phillips: He is some trumpet player Peter
