Bill Phillips: You are being cynical here Frank....mind you you are also probably right grin
Isn't that just great! I love this kind of thing... marking notable dates - and on a clock... even better!

i even collect watches and clocks. my father was a tool & die maker for GM, but he was also a jeweler and watch maker. of course that was back in the day when watches and clocks were worth fixing.

very vintage find
Bill Phillips: Good and accurate as modern digital timepieces are there is nothing quite like the beauty and craftsmanship of the inside of a real watch or clock

Besides that I think that this is a wonderful clock and I love the "M's", Bill, I have to agree with Frank that also in Hollandshire some kids don't know how to "read" this clock...
They now show the digitale time at schools... sad sad
I just read that this is a millennium clock.
Bill Phillips: I do like Roman numerals on a clock but I suspect you and Frank are right
sadly the youngest generation will not know what this means now.

Like the photo very much Bill
Bill Phillips: Many won't even see it as they seldom raise their eyes from the screens of their smartphones for long enough to look up
Picture of the day so far for me, I love these old style clocks on buildings.
Bill Phillips: A nice idea for a way of entering the new millennium

Looks to be either new in 2000 or else renovated then. What time did you take this shot?
Bill Phillips: It was just after half past three if I remember correctly
A handsome clock
Bill Phillips: Isn't it? A traditional looking timepiece
