What a beautiful image, Bill! I love the silvery water, under that temperamental sky!
Bill Phillips: Ironically the rain actually came from behind us!

The colour tones in this are surprising - normally sky and sea have more in common
Bill Phillips: This has been twiddled Lisl

This is very pleasing Bill. Tell me about the making of this image and your thinking behind it.
Bill Phillips: There are two possible answers to this.
Firstly that this picture demonstrates the dichotomy of the natural world. The gathering anger of the sky atop the peaceful tranquility of the sparkling sea below. This could thus be the gathering storms of war created by the bellicose rantings of Trump and that little fat git in North Korea whilst the world blissfully engages in an orgy of commercialism that used to be Christmas

Secondly it is a snap I twiddled a bit and thought it looked nice
Joli contre-jour.
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Martine

Wonderful to see the clouds and the shimmer on the sea. did you take shelter in a cafe?
Bill Phillips: We had not long since had breakfast in the hotel so went back to the car and drove to Exmouth. It was raining harder there so we went home
If you go here in summer there is a good cafe if you turn left onto the prom.
Bill Phillips: THank you Michael I will bear that in mind

At long last we had some good rains - there are still parts of the country living in drought. Some towns are now out of water.

Great shot.
Bill Phillips: Drought is a rarity here. 1976 was the worst
A very nice seascape, William.
Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you young Frank
Lovely light on the water pre the storm.
Bill Phillips: I love when it sparkles like this

This is lovely Bill, I love all the layering
Bill Phillips: Thanks Anne. Layer cake. Makes a change from choccie box
Lots of drama here. The rain can certainly be seen.
Bill Phillips: Funnily enough the rain we got came from behind!

This is so good and so soulful Imagine being on the beach... well you were there.... Love it.
Bill Phillips: We sat on a bench like a couple of old pensioners....oh we are pensioners grin
Beautiful... clouds are ever-fascinating...
Bill Phillips: Never quite the same twice
