This is lovely, Bill!
Best of luck for you and Ange... I hope she's feeling well!
Bill Phillips: She was loking very well when I saw her yesterday evening and she can't wait to get back home. I am just waiting now for her to phone to say to come and get her!

This is a wonderful picture and I know it won't take long before you and Ange will walk around here. man alive they don't keep tenants in the hospital don't they... Good luck and a speedy recovery for Ange.
Bill Phillips: Three nights is the norm here for hip replacements. Once you can use the crutches and climb the stairs using them you are set free. She will be going back for more physio and there are exercises she has to do at home every hour.
I see you are getting ready to take Ange out for a walk-about, Bill. She is going to do so well, and so are you, because you both are so dedicated to each other. Hang in there.
Bill Phillips: Thanks nice of you ginnie. Ange is really doing well and has mastered her crutches well already. She can't wait to be back at home

The entrance to the gardens?

I have no doubt Ange will recover in no time at all
Bill Phillips: No this is actually the far side of the gardens leading to open countryside

She will do all she has to do and I think she won;t be needing crutches for long!

Hidcote Manner Gardens are wonderful. Oh, I really wonder that Ange will be already out of hospital, I stayed at the hospital after my hip op for about 9 days.
Bill Phillips: Three nights is usual here Philine. Ange can't wait to get home! I am waiting fro her to ring me to tell me what time to pick her up

A fine pastoral scene of dear old England.

I hope that Ange is comfortable but I do hope that provision has been made to look after Master before she can resume her full duties?
Bill Phillips: What world are you living in Alan? grin

Ange is doing fine and I am honing my washing and ironing skills

I hope she has you running round like Mrs Ratty the umpteenth. Are you still doing the childcare?
Bill Phillips: I am getting fitter by the minute. Childcare is on hold for now and Helen and Andy are taking alternate Thursdays as holiday until Ange is able to have a rampaging 2 year old under her feet!
Amazing how different it is for operations in each country. Best wishes to Ange. Good picture and music.
Bill Phillips: Here they work on the principle that you recover better at home. Ange was more than glad to be back home today sleeping in her own bed!

Great song isn't it?

I had no idea they were so extensive, Bill
Bill Phillips: This is the edge of the garden but it melts wonderfully into the countryside beyond
I recognise this, we went there a few years ago and really enjoyed our visit. Hopefully Ange will be up and about as quickly as Maureen was once she gets home.

(Thanks for your email reply today, I will contact you in a week or two to see how things are working out.)
Bill Phillips: She is home now and doing very well thanks Brian

I hope you are going to do a series on Hidcote
Bill Phillips: There will be more
A lovely spot
Bill Phillips: It is indeed. One of my favourites
Hope Angie's new hip performs well, Bill - I understand it takes away a lot of the previous pain!
Bill Phillips: So far so good Tom!

Lovely gardens - it doesn't look completely summery.

Hip replacements - know about them. Wife had two and son had two. I do know that the patient has to stick to exercises to make a success of the replacement. The hospital part is not a big deal anymore - get over the initial pain, move around and you can go home.
Bill Phillips: Ange is following the exercises ans we are getting into a routine.
