Christmas 3

Christmas Eve is my brother George's birthday. He will be 67 this year. I don't see as much of him as I would like but no doubt we will talk on the phone over Christmas. Next year I really must go down to Torquay and see him and my Sister in Law Lesley. It has been too long!

Happy Birthday George. Looks great where he lives. Long drive though.
Bill Phillips: It isn't too bad as it is all motorway or dual carriageway. My brother really hates driving now so we will have to go there. We used to meet up at their daughter's who lives in Gloucester which is only 40 miles away. Torquay is a popular resort. It was where we first met Philine
That's as close to being a Christmas baby as actually being one, Bill. Wow. I hope he got twice as many presents as the rest of you?! smile

But, yes, the older I get the more I want to make sure I see my family. I totally get it!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Bill Phillips: I have a friend who was born on Christmas Day. I think my brother did OK!!

So important, Bill - how different children looked in those not-so-long-ago days
Bill Phillips: Different from the pudding basin haircut down!

Oh, your brother looks like Tom when he was a little boy. Happy birthday to him and to you and to yours and in particular to my dear Joseph!
"Joseph, lieber Joseph mein, willst mir wiegen mein Kindelein.." - we will be singing this carol in the Eve -
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine. I have not heard that carol before. It is beautiful.

Love the image. Maybe next year you will be able to catch up on things such as communicating with your nearest & dearest

Why wait, Bill.

Grab Joseph and get to Torquay and show him off!
Bill Phillips: At the moment I can't drive following minor surgery

It's funny that although both my brothers live within ten miles of each other, we didn't see much of the oldest brother until Dad's death; now we see each other most weeks. Why not give George a call and tell him you're be down on Saturday, or something?

I like your choice of carol.
Bill Phillips: I picked some favourites!
Happy Birthday George!
I wish you to spend a great Christmas Eve with yours Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Richard
Are you the little kid of the older one in the shot. I see a bit of Joseph in the smaller boy.
Bill Phillips: I am the little kid Mary. My brother is two and a half years older than I am

You must meet up with him next year, Bill. I totally understand about family becoming more important the older you get. Have a very happy Christmas and give young Joseph a hug from me.
Bill Phillips: We will Pauline. I will pass on the hug smile
Happy birthday to George and hope you manage to get together next year Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Janet. I am sure we will

ha ... you look out of your depth Billiam ... and nicely so.
Bill Phillips: My brother looks very much the same now but I am not convinced this is me. I think I was swapped at some stage and this one is the real one!

Wishing your brother a happy birthday - I hope you have more opportunities to get to see him in 2015
Bill Phillips: We will have to make the opportunities
Fine picture of you and George, sadly I'm an only child and have barely any relatives left alive to go and see so make the most of each other before time runs out. BTW I'm watching Carols from Kings as I type my comments today, I never miss it if possible.
Bill Phillips: Ironically having suggested to Elizabeth B that she should watch it...I forgot!
Neither of you seems to be exactly delighted to be photographed!
Bill Phillips: I have never liked being photographed. I still don't
Where did it all go wrong Bill.,3 hours to Torqauy.. from your house
Bill Phillips: It is a journey I have done many times Mick. My brother hates driving now so they don't come up here or to his daughter's in Gloucester where we used to all meet up. This last year or so has just flown past and we just didn't go down. Still I rang him yesterday and it was good to talk to them
