I so would love to be there seeing this.
Bill Phillips: My wife was born not far from Windsor and we used to spend a lot of time here when we first knew each other. It was nice to go back

i'm surprised to see the plane so close
Bill Phillips: It is not far from Heathrow airport. I lived in Windsor many years ago and we had planes fly over the house every few minutes!
It is wonderful with the jet streaking across in the distance. The ancient and the new.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Michael. It was great to go back to Windsor after many years

You have a good one here, Mate.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ray. The classic place to take a picture of Windsor castle
I really like the detail we can see on the castle!
Bill Phillips: Thanks E. There is even more detail when you see it uncompressed by Shutterchance grin
Très jolie vue sur le château.
Bill Phillips: It is where everyone takes a picture from Martine!

Is that the queen peeping by hind net curtains... seventh window on the right.
Bill Phillips: The Royal standard was not flying so she must have been out

A fine shot, including aeroplane.

I've never been hereabouts, must rectify this. I could pop in to see Andy, if he's having a hands-free day..
Bill Phillips: Indeed you must. Andy has a lot of time on his hands at the moment.

I've not been to Windsor for many years now; it's probably packed full of tourists these days and shop selling tourist tat. I've seen it from the air several times, though, heading back in to Heathrow.
Bill Phillips: Was even when I lived there 50 years ago Alan

Is this Andy’s bolt hole?
Bill Phillips: Brenda spends a fair bit of time here. Dunno about Andy
Goodness, that large plane seems low but if it is on the path to the airport, it has to be. Very nice shot with that interesting feature.
Bill Phillips: A familiar sight over Windsor Mary
it's a wonderful image layers starting with boats Bill... the river... a majestic old Castle... topped off with a jet and a great sky....petersmile
Bill Phillips: Thanks Peter. The plane came at just the right time!
I vaguely remember going to Windsor with my parents when I was a young lad but would like to go again. This is a very fine image, the plane is a bonus as was ther yacht in my post today.
Bill Phillips: The planes are a regular feature over the castle but that one came at just the right time for me! Windsor is well worth a visit. I lived there for about 12 months 50years ago!
A fine picture, Bill. One of the few residences in the area that can justifiably complain about aircraft noise, having been there a bit longer than the airport.
