Now known as the home of the fat berg...Last time I was here I was 15....smile
Bill Phillips: Who are you calling a fat berg?
Very pretty!!!
Bill Phillips: Ain't that the truth?
All good, Bill, but my favorite aspect of the mage is the inky blue of the water on the horizon.
Bill Phillips: The sea was a lovely colour that day Ray
Très joli, j'aime les photos de plage.
Bill Phillips: I love the coast Martine

What a wonderful image with the clouds - but the beach is too stony for me.
Bill Phillips: No good for building sandcastles Philine
Memories can be so evocative, Bill!

Choccie Box, Bill. Love all the layers here. Those clouds are a winner here.
Bill Phillips: Choccie indeed Lady P. Glad you like it

I see the sea is building a dyke of pebbles against itself. Great shot.
Bill Phillips: I guess in another million years or so it will be sand

Sidmouth - retirement town. A fine picture Bill.
Bill Phillips: You don't go there unless you are at least 60
Thought I recnised this place, we've had two pleasant breaks there over recent years.
Bill Phillips: We stayed at a guest house run by a friend of mine. She has sold up now and moved to Gozo
Looks like a perfect day. Lovely to see it.
Bill Phillips: It was a glorious day Mary

I understand that the local water authority has recently found a huge "fate berg" in its sewers here. Best not to think about that; let's just enjoy the view.
Bill Phillips: Right under the Esplanade. Ptobably all those English Breakfasts cooked in the hotels and guesthouses
A stunning view, Bill. Does that ramp allow you to drive your car down onto the beach or is it strictly for dragging boats to the water?
Bill Phillips: Boats I would think Beverly
Very enticing... though perhaps rough on the feet...
Bill Phillips: They had to replace the beach which washed away a few years ago in a big storm so these are new stones

a stunning image
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sherri
beautiful seaside photo.

One of the benefits of living in a country that is also an island.

Seaside images in all directions
Bill Phillips: I spent most of my childhood only about 9 miles from the coast in Exeter. It is the one thing I still miss living in Worcestershire which is almost as far as you can get from the coast in the UK
