this is what we have been getting for the past few days Bill... strong winds blowing into the lens no matter which door i used... great b&w composition....petersmile
Bill Phillips: We have had high winds for this time of year too Peter. It has quietened down now and should be sunny for the next few days
Wow! You can really see it "chucking it down" as my husband would say! He also would say it's "pants" smile Nice shot, Bill - and thanks for the music!
Bill Phillips: I see Frank is teaching you English like what it ought to be spoken. I bought this record back in 1963
I love the rain, Bill! We had lots of it yesterday here in Holland, Bill. For me it's so cozy, especially if I don't have to be out in it.
Bill Phillips: I like it to rain at night and sweeten the air for the next day
Great conversion in B&W Bill!
Bill Phillips: Pleased you think so Richard

Well at least you can see the ghastly stuff against the foliage of the tree
Bill Phillips: We need rain. I just wish it would only fall at night

Good to hear that old song again, Bill - thank you
Bill Phillips: They still sound good and he must be getting on a bit!

Good to see Elizabeth learning English smile I could do with some rain this week; it sounds like its going to be hot and humid in the deep south this week.
Bill Phillips: There is hope for the colonial lady. Frank is clearly a good tutor
I liked this song Bill, but who is the old bloke singing it? I like the Black Montag photo very much.
Bill Phillips: The young bloke who sang it way back in 1963
Pleased you like my snap

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain, ...

Long time since I have last heard it. Fitting your picture of Droitwich manor.
Bill Phillips: I had it on an EP which I have recently got rid if although I did rip it onto the computer first

A bad weekend all over the UK, Bill.
Bill Phillips: We needed the rain but it is not much fun for people on holiday!
We are to get a bit overnight and then sunny the rest of the week. It looks gorgeous in the shot. The singer's voice is still very good. The band didn't miss a beat after all this time.
Bill Phillips: I was amazed how close to the recording this is after all these years. He must be getting on a bit! It was a hit in 1963 as I recall

This is real rain... and it shows wonderful against the trees...
Bill Phillips: The real deal Lady P. It was bucketing down!
That rain is something I very much recognise from the past few days unfortunately. Great video, I'd forgotten that song, sadly I still remember all the words!
Bill Phillips: I had it on an EP and I have to say he sounds the same now!
Bucketing down, sickening isn't it.
Bill Phillips: It has been getting better and tomorrow looks like being sunny

Amazingly, I managed to have a massive bonfire yesterday, Bill, in between the rain. Then I cooked a chicken, potatoes, courgettes and sweetcorn in the hot ash for myself and friends. All wrapped in foil, of course - the food not the friends grin
Bill Phillips: You are very resourceful Penny
Nice effect against the tree.
Bill Phillips: It was chucking it down and even twiddling it it still doesn't look as torrential as it was
