This isn't Spinal Tap
So there were these two brass taps. That'd make a pic for SC I thought. Then I saw Kathryn's handrail. Well no contest. I'd even taken two pictures of these taps. I mean TWO, of taps for heavens sake. So I had a play in good old photoshop, and ended up with this. All I can say is.... This isn't Spinal Tap

I like what you've done with the texture.
Bill Phillips: Thanks, I quite liked the way this turned out in the end.
I like this a lot Bill, the grainy effect and the shiny taps works quite well.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sesan. I was quite pleased so I'm glad you like it too
I like the grainy effect here. I like the B&W also. I don't think color would work!
Bill Phillips: I think you are right. The original colour version looks a bit lame alongside this now!
Great tonal variation. Post-processing looks nice too...
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richa, pleased you like it.
Lovely processing . Well done.
Bill Phillips: Thank you. I wouldn't have done this originally but I'm glad I did now.
I like the result !
Bill Phillips: Thanks Zeb. I'm rather pleased with it myself
lol! I like the effect. (:o)
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ros...actually so do I!
HA! No, it's not Spinal Tap. But you've played well, Bill. Bravo.
Bill Phillips: Glad I'm on song! Thanks Ginie
There not dancing either Bill!! At least you had a play and came up with a good effect in the end. Well done
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tracy. I've given up tap dancing....kept falling in the sink (groan)
Bill, my model was quite photogenic and shapely--that old handrail in the courthouse.
I like the way you've processed this and the DOF and focus works a charm. Reminds me of an old wash sink!
Bill Phillips: Funny you should say that it reminds you of an old wash sink Kathryn, because that's exactly what it is!
Ha! Never did like totally shiny taps.. Great Bill. richard.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. I'm glad I didn't polish them first then!
Good effect Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Chris.
I like the effect of polished and rough metal ...
Nice composition !!! Ann
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Ann. Pleased you like it.
Almost like film Bill ;o)
Bill Phillips: You mean like when we used to use real cameras and didn't have photoshop? I took slides then cos I had no idea how to do black and white prints!
You know, it's clever.
I like the contrast grainy/shiny and the mono, and the composition too
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Ellie.
Yes Kathryns rail made me ditch a few shots.
But I like what you have done with this, the contrast between the shiny tap and the grainy background is so well done.
Bill Phillips: She's getting too good! I'm actually quite pleased with the way this has turned out. Cheers Aussie
