The Bride
The hair and makeup done, Helen and I had a few quiet minutes to take some portraits. This time I took the picture off the wall! I know this picture isn't perfect but to me this is Helen.

The soft treatment of the subject is lovely.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Jewlya
A bit blurry, but very nicely lit!
Bill Phillips: The blur is intentional Richard. I wanted it soft.
I'll bet you cherish that special time. Lovely portrait.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Mary. You are right I will cherish the time
The blur of a photo taken by the trembling hand of a proud Dad.Well done
Bill Phillips: Thanks vintage. I have to confess the blur was added after!
Well I think that's pretty close to perfect Bill. I'd like to see it toned like a 1930s b&w shot
Bill Phillips: Thanks Chris. I have in mind to do some b&w as Helen likes black and white, and this may well be one I convert.
I agree with Chris I'd love to see it toned as well.
Bill Phillips: It wall well be. Helen wants some b&w of the wedding and I am looking at this one as one of the ones I do.
... and that's what matters Bill. richard
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Richard.
lovely soft treatment and lighting
highlights a little overblown on my screen
Bill Phillips: Thanks Doc. You are right. I have toned them down as they were very white originally. I may tinker some more.
You did her proud, love the faded outlines, love the tones, this will be a nice remeberance of this special day!!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Astrid. I like this one particularly because of her eyes. Helen has gentle eyes.
Very nice soft focus. Lovely portrait.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Ian
She has a lovely shaped face, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Chad, she does.
Soft and delicate, just how a dad should see his lovely daughter.
Bill Phillips: I guess that is just about spot on Aussie
Wonderful portrait seen by Dad's eyes!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. Dad's and daughters!
Lovely Bill a moment in time you will cherish from that day on.

Proud Dad Bill - beautiful.

Nice portrait Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Nig.
lovely portrait Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Terry, pleased you like it.
What for a beautiful, sweet bride and daughter! Gefeliciteerd! I presume that you take this portrait -with the eyes of a loving dad- before going to the marriage license bureau. Did Helen marry clothed in white, too? Or perhaps is this not usual in UK?
Bill Phillips: This was taken after her hair and make up were done and before she got changed into her wedding dress. Being a man I will not attempt to describe the dress, but you will see it...and me!!! tomorrow
Hello Bill. Everyone is right here... your daughter is very beautiful.. one man alone is extremely lucky . :o) John
Bill Phillips: Two men John. Her new husband Andy and her old dad!
well its hard to see how you could improve this shot Bill, a wonderful softness to it and has you wondering what was going through her mind, she must be proud
Bill Phillips: Thank you Tim. She was very happy all day and I think they will be happy together
This sums up how all us Dad's see our daughters Bill. You will always like this shot I am sure. Brian.
Bill Phillips: You are so right Brian. This is a very special picture to me
