My back garden 2
The idea was to take some bird pictures. So I sat there and not a bird came near the feeders and I was getting hot!! So I had a wander and took some flower pictures. Then I thought I'd try for a bee. This was the only one that came out anywhere like sharp. I'm quite pleased because I love foxgloves and bumble bees so it was worth it!

I would call this a nice reward for all your patience that day, Bill. It's great!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Ray. The 26 pictures of an out of focus bee on a Hebe, were just practice
Yes Bill this was worth waiting for.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much vintage.
Totally worth it, Bill. Anyone can take pictures of birds, right?!
Bill Phillips: LOL! Anyone but me! I don't think people appreciate the potential disaster of losing our bees.
Foxgloves are one of my favourite flowers too. I love the way they just seem to appear - you never have to plant them. This is a good shot - well worth the perseverance!
Ingrid
Bill Phillips: They are like forget-me-nots. They appear and spread all over the place. My sort of gardening
Laugh! I read this as:- The idea was to take some bad pictures.
i was just about to write my comment when I saw that the word was bird. Neat capture of a bee all the same, Bill.
Bill Phillips: I don't have to pre-plan bad pictures....I take those by the bucket load! Glad you like the bee!
Nice shot Bill, that was well worth the wait
Bill Phillips: Thanks Aussie...I don't think I'll ever make a wildlife photographer though
Nicely taken picture Bill, right place at the right time comes to mind. No twiddling either I believe.
Bill Phillips: Thank Brian. Twiddling? Well not exactly. The flowers were a little bleached out in places so a little help was given.
Yep, worth waiting every second.
Very nice indeed
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Paul. I might have another go one day!
Yes, a beautiful close-up and a symbiotical relationship between foxgloves (in German Fingerhut, a medical plant, too) and bee. Often we have to be patient in order to get presented with lovely experiences!
Bill Phillips: Patience is not one of my strong points, but you are right.
Very, very nice. Foxgloves rock and roll. Is that a wee little spider web in back?
Bill Phillips: I do believe it is..well spotted
I would also be well chuffed with this fine capture Bill well worth the wait.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Scotia.
Very nice capture Bill. I like the way the bee is coming out from its hiding place!
Bill Phillips: and he stayed still long enough! Thanks Richard
Well worth the wait, Bill! the bee and the flower (lupin?) make fora lovely summry scene.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Alan. It's a foxglove. One of my favourite flowers
We always look at bees and consider them slow moving - until we try to capture them for a spectacular photo. Then they just won't stay still long enough! But you have managed it with this one Bill. Well done.
Bill Phillips: I got plenty of out of focus pictures! Thanks Sheila
Practice makes perfect, nice bird pic
Bill Phillips: One of our smaller birds!
I had a nice conversation with Ginnie about taking pictures of birds, they don't keep still, I know of some solutions....
Bill Phillips: I'm going to take pictures of stuffed birds i think!
Your patience paid off. This little worker appears to be quite busy. Thank goodness for them!
Bill Phillips: Indeed so. We lose bees at our peril!
