Great! I love the dreamy stuff
Bill Phillips: Thanks Jewlya. I'm pleased you like it.
Very nice love the many different greens.
Bill Phillips: Thanks vintage. There are many better pictures of Stourhead than this..most of them painted by Turner!
I think you've been to Stourhead smoking mellow vegetable matter Bill: very pleasing shot
Bill Phillips: I thought you would recognise Stourhead Chris. I had a good trip!
I really like the composition. Interesting how you seemed to have increased the yellow range. Where is this Bill?. richard
Bill Phillips: It's Stourhead. I was trying to bring out some detail in the shadows and ended up with a lot of yellow! I thought it looked ok so I put in a blur layer and this is the result
Bill, superb picture, I am still in dreamland beacause of my vacation...just love the colors, so rich and warm, great composition, a nice start of my day, Thanks for sharing...
Bill Phillips: Sounds like you had a good holiday then? Glad you like this
You certainly are - lol at Chris - I was thinking it was something of a more acidic nature, and I don't mean the yellow! Driven past a few times, but never visited, inspired to make the effort.
Bill Phillips: It is well worth the effort to visit. Only been once and the light wasn't great, so was forced to tinker!
beautiful image .. nice shot Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you John.
Beautiful shot!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Helen
It certainly does look dreamlike. I like the blurriness but feel I would prefer it if the saturation was knocked back. A beautiful location.
Ingrid
Bill Phillips: The light when I went wasn't great and I was trying to make something out of this. I want to go again because it is a great location. I think the saturation is a bit ott for some!
Wonderful composition Bill. I love the colour tones here!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. It's a lovely place that I hope to visit again
beautiful colours and soft touch to this capture Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Aussie. It's a beautiful place
Stourhead gardens are an interesting place to expierience the monied excuse for the violence that brought the wealth. Well done, Bill.
Bill Phillips: An interesting, if jaundiced, viewpoint Chad. Most of the great houses and gardens were built on the back of exploitation and often violence. At least they built something decent. The modern exploiters seldom have any taste or the sense to employ someone who has.
That is definitely a dream! A green dream!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mary..a green and yellow dream perhaps!
I love the flashy colours ... It's like in a dream, I agree ...
Bill Phillips: Hopefully not a nightmare though
three cheers for the dreamy stuff Bill
Bill Phillips: Thank you kind Sir!!
wonderful dreamy effort Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Tim
Nice composition Bill and a most unusual set of colours, I'm not sure quite how you did it but well done anyway. I would love to put this in front of one of those Judges we talk of so often.
Bill Phillips: The judges would hate it! OK this was a bit of a dull day but I liked the composition so tried to make something out of it. I like the Orton effect so this basically uses it plus a bit of twiddling and getting rid of blank white bits in the water. I'd like to take the same picture with some decent light one day!
Dreamy is the word !! Thumbs up !!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Zeb
I'd say you got the right amount of twiddling on a great capture
Bill Phillips: Thanks Nigel
Looks a bit dream with the processing, but I think you blew out the whites and darks with over processing and saturation.
Bill Phillips: The original had a great expanse of white water with no detail, a white sky and flat light. But I liked the basic composition so I had a fiddle! I agree with everything you say...but I still rather like it
