the structures look compromised in their integrity

in the USA, the owner most likely wouldn't be able to sell them because they wouldn't pass inspection

is it that way in England ?

i like that wispy cloud overhead
Bill Phillips: The old cock is a listed building dating back to 1702 so it older than the US. The house next to it is also a listed building and has just been sold for about £350,000. They have just discovered that behind the facade of one of the shops in the High Street there is a timber framed house that is almost 700 years old. This is currently being restored.

Oh, so typically old merry England! A fine image!
Bill Phillips: You wait until you see the one they have discovered behind a shop facade in the High Street. 700 year old timber framed house of extreme rarity.

The vernacular architecture is delightful, it has grown organically

A delightful scene. CostaStarbucks nowhere to be seen.
Bill Phillips: We have a Coffee #2 in the shipping precinct but most cafe type establishments in the town are proper places

I remember when the term - Hello old cock - was used as a form of greeting.
Bill Phillips: Wotcha' cock was also a common greeting.
Am I being taken to this pub for a roast lamb. Lunch.
Bill Phillips: I am actually hoping that we can all go for a meal here on the Monday evening. Depends on whether everyone will eat pub grub!
I have an old stained glass pattern book of English pub signs.
Bill Phillips: I bet it contains some fascinating examples
Beautifully lit...
Bill Phillips: A rare nice day!
Not even a TV aerial to date the picture as one taken in modern times, unless you've cloned them out, very nice.
Bill Phillips: Cloned them out Brian and a telephone wire running across the road
I saw a sticker on the back window of a car driven by an attractive lady. It said “ I love the old cock inn”.
Bill Phillips: Kindly leave the stage
The shot has a vintage style to it, Bill.
Bill Phillips: A vintage style for vintage buildings
It looks like a glimpse of a film set
miss walking along streets like this throughout England
