I thought - roots, then cracks in the ground, and then realised they are lovely shadows, Bill
Bill Phillips: There are roots as well Lisl but the really dark squiggles are shadows

A wonderful title and a great image!
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine.
Like Lisl, at first I thought PARCHED EARTH, OH NO! But then I saw the trick Mother Earth played on me. How lovely, Bill. (Sadly, the video was kaput for me. Maybe I need to refresh it.)
Bill Phillips: The video is on you tube but perhaps not available in the Netherlands

Ooh I like this, full of very agreeable b&w geometry
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly.
The music certainly goes with the image Bill.
Bill Phillips: That's alright then
Veins fits this wonderful image very much. One of your best, Bill.

The shadows look like cracks in the ground. I have an Enya CD.. very restful.
Bill Phillips: They do.

I have several

They are
I like this, especially the composition. I might have burnt the foreground below the trees in just a tad to be honest. We have several Enya CD's, she is one of Maureen's favourites.
Bill Phillips: Possibly, but I have actually done very little to this
Well seen, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tom
Great use of shadows and b/w...
Bill Phillips: It doesn't work at all in colour
