A quick look at.............................

Attingham Park.

 

Attingham Park was built for the 1st Lord Berwick in 1785 and was in continuous ownership by the family for more than 160 years. The boudoir (second down on the left) has recently been cleaned. All the decoration is hand painted in this room where everything, including the doors, is curved. Using cotton buds it took about 450 hours of work to clean. The trust has left one panel uncleaned to show the difference and it is truly amazing!

A life of Riley must be spent here- a feel of luxury and elegance - with eccentric colours - wonderful restoration thnks to the NT - your fine collage gives quite more than only a quick look -it evokes the desire to visit this gem one day!

Bill Phillips: I do Mary. Ange and I have been National Trust members for about 15 years and still enjoy the houses and gardens and there are still quite a lot we haven't visited
Blimey ... that purple is powerful precocious pretentious pernicious penetrating and ponient.

I wish I brought my thesaurs down to Suffolk so that I could have created a list of twenty.

Our only visit here, many years ago, was when the house was closed, it looks very fine inside. Perhaps another journey that way is in order, we enjoy the Shropshire area.

Attingham is one of my favorite places to visit. I love the montage smile
