Very nice: I like to see them too but prefer colour
Bill Phillips: This is colour...just not very much colour grin Proper colour to follow
You chose a family of gnarly ones, and one got too gnarly...
Bill Phillips: A tree ain't a tree unless it is a git gnarly!
These trees look as if they are dancing, Bill, especially the far one. The middle one is grinning. I love it.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sheila. The middle one is a very happy tree!

Yes, I love these old trees standing win d and weather, too, but the snow could be a bit cleaner - I love the whiteness of snow in the nature! It is a fine picture!
Bill Phillips: No snpow Philine. Desaturated grass. You will see over the next couple of days what it was really like

I agree too - it's like seeing someone naked - what you see is what you get, rather than clothed in their summer finery. An interesting effect here Bill - I note that this is not black and white but colour - did you desaturate it?
Ingrid
Bill Phillips: Almost totally Ingrid. I was trying to get something of an engraving but I don't think that has really worked. Still I liked this and decided to post it!

Trees with lots of branches like this are tricky to photograph, but you have done a good job of bringing out their character.
Bill Phillips: It could have been a right mess Mike:d

Another strong image, Bill. I do like the form of trres devoid of their leaves.
Bill Phillips: There is something rather special about trees in winter
Really good Bill, infact so good the tree in the middle is smilingsmile
Bill Phillips: That is one happy treegrin
They have got nice shapes Bill especially the fallen one. This wouldn't have been so good in full colour.
Bill Phillips: I agree and they feature in full colour in a later picture
You get to see the bones of trees during the winter months, Bill, and these are finely captured. Especially like the middle one with the hollows.
Bill Phillips: That's the happy tree Beverly
An excellent subject..and I too love trees..Well portrayed Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ron. Trees are vital to us
