I would love to have you open the book and share a random pearl, Bill!
Bill Phillips: I gave it to my daughter Helen!
Great composition of a very wise man....
Bill Phillips: He carries a heavy burden.
I agree with Ginnie. But I would also like to see more of the Buddha, not hidden by the book. Where is the statue?
Bill Phillips: The statue is in my back garden Sheila, actually there are two and the other one featured with my cat lying against it.
i like this! wow! so cool!
Bill Phillips: Thank you, glad you like it
Have you read this - or are you prentending to be a philosophical dude?
Bill Phillips: No, but I gave it to my daughter Helen who might have done!
Yes, "a very wise man" and a very important voice in our world, indeed, your pic might show that, two Buddha statues in the back garden- this could be a sign for a deeper relationship to the Buddhism! The depictured Buddha looks a bit indignant, no wonder!- at all the problems and the madness of our world! (For me is the Dalai Lama an important, serious and humorous personality, but no 'Holy' person or a new Jesus)
Bill Phillips: He carries a heavy burden for his people, but still tries to generate a better world
Bill you and Aussie seem to be on the same page today
Bill Phillips: We do indeed!
That statue is great, full of Character as for the Dalai Lama... what a great man
Bill Phillips: He is a bit special
Some similarities between the two guys?
Great picture all round. Yes, we had a lot of controversy around the Dalai recently when he was refused a visa to this country. All kinds of facts jumps from the woodworks then. Seems to be using violent methods to try and enforce peace. Not sure if our gov't is just cow-towing to China, who is using the same methods - different ideology.
Bill Phillips: Seems offending certain countries is not allowed. I like the Australian attitude, if someone upsets them they tell them to take a running jump.
This is an attractively composed Still-Life, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Ray...I don't do a lot of still life..as I see it every time I look in the mirror
So much wisdom, so little time.
Nice composition. Cheers Rob
Bill Phillips: Me or him?
I think you should give this to Tiff. He needs it right now.
Bill Phillips: What just cos he has had to wear a hat for a couple of days?
Very nicely composed. Well done Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Richard
An amazing likeness Bill
Bill Phillips: There is a likeness indeed
I seem to recognise both these chaps.
Bill Phillips: They are quite well known Ian
These two work very well together Bill, excellent ida.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Brian.
I see the likeness, Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Alan. I didn't really notice at first.
Great idea to put these two together
Bill Phillips: Cheers Aussie.
Great shot and idea Baron Twiddler
Bill Phillips: You should have seen me trying to get up again afterwards!
An amazing man Bill, a Ghandi for our time!
Bill Phillips: A great man walking a very difficult road
A great man that never realised his dream.
Bill Phillips: Sadly no. But then nobody wants to upset China
Wonderful image and display of a great man.
Bill Phillips: Thanks very much Ken
