Some of you will be familiar with my Ogden Nash site. This is a way of filling up the weekends by inflicting some of the odd stuff I posted on there. So if you have seen them...sorry. If you haven't ....sorry
By the way this is Settle Station on the Settle to Carlisle Railway.
If I don't comment or reply today it is because I am doing a longer book sale this month and my not have time.

AH it is the first Saturday of the month again, time flies, I kinda thought this looks familiar, I don't mind watching it for the second time.

I do hope it is NOT catching.
I do hope you had a good book sale.
Bill Phillips: The numbering system I use for these re-run pictures is totally random Lady P.
We did the book sale until just after 3. With what we had already sold on amazon and the ladies cakes and jam we took over £530 for the month. By far our best ever.We were very pleased!

my first look at this pic, dear Ogden! Oh, old merry England, like a toy town, no downturn, no sale, no sex and crime- all things are proper and clean, the steam locomotive will come as punctual as clockwork, the conductor is very friendly and helpful... sometimes we are dreaming of such a world! But one 'thing' I miss- the greenness of England and the colourful bunches of flowers- in general the colours in this our intact little world! A fine sunday pic of a 'sunday world' as we say!
Bill Phillips: Settle station in 2005. The station had just been repainted and there were lots of flowers.
A lovely timeless appeal to this, Bill/Ogden/whoever(!). The location of the shot was off the screen when the image first opened and I thought "settle station"; pleased to find that it was.
Definitely different.....
Like it
