What a wonderful, solid picture Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Chris. I'm glad you like it.
Bill, this is a terrific, dramatic shot, love the shafts of light in the windows.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Aussie. I was trying to get the grand central station effect but found I liked the idea of the light being almost trapped behind the windows.
It's like a scene from the Hounds of the Baskerville's. Love the stormy atmosphere and the lighting is great Bill.
The building furthest away looks model like.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tracy. By the way a suggestion.. Have you ever tried Yoga? I used to go with my far better half and it was brilliant. I used to fall asleep during the relaxing bit every week, until Ange nudged me cos I was snoring!
Oh Bill.... this is simply awsome! Amazing job here my friend!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Gail. I wasn't sure about putting this shot up. It was one I heavily photoshopped to get the effect I wanted, but I thought it might be a bit too much for folk. It is one of my favourites of my own pictures.
It looks like a night shot in many ways. Moody melodrama maturing ... er maybe!richard.
Bill Phillips: Nothing mature about me mate!
Bill are you sure you didn't paint this image instead of taken a photo of it? It's simply amazing.
Bill Phillips: I wish I could paint! Living room ceiling is about my level! It has been heavily photoshopped!
I've always wanted to visit this castle - lovely shot.
Bill Phillips: It is well worth a visit. I'd certainly go again
Bill! You brough the tripod, did you? Stunning!
Bill Phillips: Not yet Kathryn ( though I have a few possibilities in mind and my daughter is giving me Amazon vouchers for Christmas!). It wasn't this dark on the day. It was one of those days with sun and big black clouds. So I had a play in photoshop and came up with this!
I'm a fan of this kind of "play," Bill. It's wonderful!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ginnie. I just love letting rip with photoshop. I know a lot of people don't agree but I always think pleasing other people with pictures is a bonus! It's great when they like them but it's OK if they don't.
WOW Bill, this is stunning, the atmosphere, LOVE it, I agree with Tracy, have a nice weekend!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Astrid, delighted you like it. Have a nice weekend yourself
Very Gothic Bill - I would be proud to have taken this one myself, great cinematic lighting. I realise you have tweaked in PS, but only an exposure/contrast adjustment as far as I can tell - nothing wrong with that ;o)
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike. The lighting was the main photoshopping thing. Using several lights to light the inside of the castle, then putting some detail back into the left hand side with a light bottom left as far as I can remember. I think I gave the curves a tweak as well.
Very nice capture Bill. Heavy atmosphere. It looks like a painting
Bill Phillips: Thanks Richard. It needs a passing Vampire really
I love these dramatic scenes, nice one Bill
Bill Phillips: Thanks Nigel. I rather like them myself!
another cracker Bill, one to frame and hang above the mantle shelf, well done
Bill Phillips: Thanks Tim. I could pretend it was the family's ancestral home
Looks like something from a movie. Nice work with the PP!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Martin. Just needs Dracula!
Very dramatic picture out of some scary movie....with storm approaching ....for more special effects
Bill Phillips: Perhaps I should add some lightning! Thanks for you kind comments.
This is FANTASTIC, Bill. Wowsers! It looks kind of creepy, though.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Hick. This is not one of my chocolate box pictures
the skies add such drama to the whole setting, Bill!!!!!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Moi. I was in scary mode!!
Stunning shot. Dark and imposing. (:o)
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ros. I'm pleased you like it.
Simply stunning.
Maestro. an emoticon that bows before you.
Bill Phillips: You are too kind young sir!
The words "atmospheric", "Gothic", "brooding" instantly spring to mind : Some of my favourite things actually (you can forget your raindrops on roses and whiskas on kitten at al)! Mike
Bill Phillips: Thanks Mike! I like a bit of the old brooding and Gothic!
Nice bit of Gothic, Mate!
Bill Phillips: Cheers Dave. Apologies for not replying before... I missed your comment somehow
Wow, such drama here, Bill. Fantastic! Another likey!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Kay. Sorry I hadn't replied sooner, I missed your comment
Brilliant lighting Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Steve. I confess the lighting is all down to photoshop!
