A wonderful structure, Bill [and the viaduct is ok too]! smile
Bill Phillips: It is indeed Ray. I am not sure how flattered Ange would be to be referred to as a structure grin
Amazing construction. And from the 1870s!!!! I like the Roman look it has. Nice pics!!
Bill Phillips: There was a whole "town" built there whilst it was being constructed.

It's amazing how the viaduct fits into the landscape so well
Bill Phillips: I suppose as both are man made perhaps that is not such a surprise

Oh... I've just noticed a sheep peering round one of the pillars smile
Bill Phillips: They must have spotted the camera and thought it might be you

What a grandious viaduct - fine with the railway - and the little sheep - and Angela. She is taller than me. I like your montage very much.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Philine. It is a wonderful structure
The size is really something when seen like this.
Bill Phillips: Although it is the longest on the line at about 400 yards it is not actually the tallest. There are two other viaducts that are taller

You must have been stoned out of your mind after experiencing that amazing lot.
Bill Phillips: Groan............
A fine quartet of shots of this magnificent viaduct, good idea to include Ange to give it scale.
Bill Phillips: I suppose the sheep would have done grin
Ange makes a pretty scale Bill... wonderful collage with the train on top of the viaduct....petersmile
Bill Phillips: If only it had been a steam one!
An imposing structure!
Bill Phillips: It is splendid. I would like to do this run again one day
