Jolie fleur, j'aime la forme de ce qui reste lorsqu'elle est fanée.
Bill Phillips: Yes the seed pods do look attractive

If you say so. I like the textures in the floppy bits around the bit in the middle (ah.. yes.. petals).
Bill Phillips: Your knowledge of plant life is coming on in leaps and bounds Alan
This is a wonderful picture; so much to see and so clear. I just keep looking at it.
Bill Phillips: Delighted you like it Sheila

as i viewed this image, it occurred to me that i've only seen this variety of flower in the bud stage. i did not know what the bloom looked like. they are quite unique and your capture is lovely.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sherri. Poppies are delightful flowers

It’s called an opium poppy ... over my ten or so years of Shutterchance I have posted these several times.
Bill Phillips: The fact that you are so familiar with the opium poppy explains a lot comrade
very nice composition Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thank you very much Alan
That makes for a really good picture.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Brian, pleased you think so
I have the same ones and I can say the exact same thing as R Trim.
Bill Phillips: So it isn't an exclusive then? grin
Indeed it is - one of the domesticated varieties I assume.
Bill Phillips: I guess so Tom. I think it was in my garden but it might have been somewhere else!
This is so pretty - I love the how you captured the seed pods with and without the petals!
Bill Phillips: Thanks E, pleased you like it.
