Londinium Bits and doings 5

For those of you who don't do weekends this is the last one.

If you have stuck all the way  , thank you.  I don't go to London often. I think the last time was 2005 and If I leave it another 13 years I will be nearly 81

Its been a good series, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Pleased you enjoyed it Frank
Fun stuff! I like the bottom right! smile
Bill Phillips: The legendary Chris Phillips
It's kinda like us going to Amsterdam, Bill, except it's much more often. We like to go but only when we need to. Astrid and I haven't been to London together...maybe one day...even though I have been several times, and she only once in our past lives.
Bill Phillips: Amsterdam is much smaller and I liked it very much. London is amazing but just too big for me

Thank you for these memories. Unlike yourself I love London, and as soon as our wonderful railway system has sorted itself out (it will, I promise you) I will happily go again. There's always so much to see and do there..

Big cities, either you like them of you hate them, I think. I would love to walk through London, first all the things "must" to see and than go to the unknown parts....
Bill, you make a great collage of what there is too see and I think with the 4 of you, you had a great time smile
Bill Phillips: It was a very enjoyable day Astrid. London is a fantastic place but I feel like a fish out of water there!

Your start and exit pictures are well chosen - sort of open and close the collection.
Bill Phillips: Thank you kindly Louis
It is amazing that you don't go more often.
Bill Phillips: It is amazing that I go at all Mary grin

what a fine collection

love, love the signage on the left, middle
Bill Phillips: Thanks Sherri. Yes the signage is rather fun
I've really enjoyed this series Bill. We haven't been to London since 2003 when we passed through going to and from holiday by train. As we met working at Kings Cross we keep saying we are going back to see what has happened with all the changes including St.Pancras but somehow I suspect we won't bother, even at off-peak times Midland Mainlines prices require a mortgage to be taken out!
Bill Phillips: Glad you enjoyed it Brian. Train travel isn't too bad if you book well ahead when there can be some very good deals

I bet you've seen some significant changes in those 13 years. I'm going to BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall next Friday evening and if the temperatures have dropped considerably, I'll probably have the day being a tourist. Good to see Chist getting some inspiration for his bench renovation project.
