Definitely art, and looking good packaged together like this
Bill Phillips: I found I actually liked some of the stuff.
Des creations très originales

Art... but not as we know it. I have similar piles of junk I'm n my spare bedroom; perhaps I could open it as a gallery. Maybe I could get a huge handout of (my) money from the Arts Council?
Bill Phillips: I don't see why not Alan

These are all useful examples of the way art is evolving ... Just like language which evolves with new vocabulary and words like ‘lavatory’ are slowly falling out of everyday usuage and being replaced wi th ‘loo’.
I think we as shutterchancer need to stop expressing stereo typical views and open our minds to the wonderfully creative and forward thinking of contemporary art.
Bill Phillips: I think we should call rubbish rubbish Alan, although there was some good stuff in the Tate Modern

I wish I could understand it, Bill
Bill Phillips: Some of it was just pretentious rubbish
It's junk because it's in the Tate, you have to laugh at Trimbo he should put his money where his mouth is.
Bill Phillips: That's a bit of a sweeping generalisation Michael. There is a lot which I didn't think much of but some that was really interesting
The radio robot has my vote.
Bill Phillips: I liked him and the "tower of babel on the left was impressive.
The radio robot is is very inventive, as for the rest, your reply to Lisl about sums it all up.
Bill Phillips: The tower of babel on the left was good. You don't really see the size of it in the picture. It was very big!
cool smile
Bill Phillips: Cheers Mate!
Its all in the eye of the beholder Bill, it is, as Richard says, too easy to dismiss stuff because you don't 'get it'. We should have open minds, but some of it is b******s....smile
Bill Phillips: I quite agree Frank. Mind you Trim looked totally bemused most of the time
i believed that it was art to begin with Bill... good collection of bits in your collage....petersmile
Bill Phillips: There was some interesting stuff and some pretentious rubbish. Trouble is people would probably disagree which was which
Mmmm.
Bill Phillips: C'mon Tom you gotta like the robot
Your perspicacity is admirable...
Bill Phillips: Thank you Kindly
