Beautiful and graceful
Bill Phillips: I am not sure about it to be honest.

Hmmmmm...
Bill Phillips: I felt a bit like that Ray. There is something a bit done on the cheap about it

so very important to all society to keep our fallen honored
Bill Phillips: Indeed Sherri. We have many memorials as I am sure you do
This is a very good memorial I think.
Bill Phillips: I am undecided. I think the idea is perhaps better than the execution

I thought from the thumbnail that this was going to be another amazing building Bill.
Bill Phillips: Two in Slough would be asking a lot Chad

Better than nothing, I suppose. Presumably they had a previous memorial elsewhere?
Bill Phillips: There must be another one, possibly in Salt Hill Park.

A sideways thought https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/nov/09/no-more-remembrance-days-consign-20th-century-history
Bill Phillips: Hmmm I don't think much of Simon Jenkins or the Grauniad. I think his article is deliberately provocative but attributes to remembrance exactly what it is not and should never be.
Rather a nice memorial, I do hope the local vandals respect it on a Friday night. Richards link is a bit controversial if you've read it, although sadly it does have a point that future generations and governments will have to think about one day.
Bill Phillips: I read it and am unimpressed. If we forget the past we repeat the mistakes. Mind you we repeat them anyway
Too many anyway
Bill Phillips: Far too many Claudio but it seems we never learn
