The world certainly has gotten more interesting. This could also be a street in NYC. So many cultures in one place!

I am liking this slice of the new Slough, Bill.
Bill Phillips: You would feel quite at home Ray
I can only imagine it, Bill!

I suspect the presence of our Asian friends have made the place quite a bit less dreary
Bill Phillips: There are folk from all over the place in Slough
All you need here to make a good curry

Oh yes, I saw such a line of shops in London!
Bill Phillips: When I first lived in Birmingham the local shops were all Asian, they were friendly places and full of stuff I had no idea what to do with!

I thought for a moment that we were suddenly in the streets of Middle Eastern city. I wonder what it will be like in another 50 years? Thankfully, I won't be here to see it.
Bill Phillips: We have a nice Polish shop in Droiters
Leicester is full of shops like this.
Bill Phillips: I don't doubt it comrade

That song by her reminds me of my early teenage years. A friend and myself say listening to it, mesmerised by the beauty of her voice with that sexy French accent. I think we both fancied being in love with her. Happy days.
Bill Phillips: She was a bit of a pin up as I recall.
A greengrocer and a fish stall would be all I would need anywhere, even Slough.
Bill Phillips: They would seem to have that here Mary.
In the street where our Carolines police station is in Nottingham I think every single shop has a non-english name above the window
Bill Phillips: I am sure the shopkeepers are glad to have the police close by to protect their businesses Brian

Lots of lovely fresh fruit and veg- good in any culture
Bill Phillips: Indeed so Lisl. I'm all for real food
The world's food all in one place...
Bill Phillips: Shows just how multicultural Slough is Larry
I do not know, not knowing the place I would say that the substantial difference lies in the writings
Bill Phillips: The shops have changed as the cultural and ethnic mix has changed. Inevitable I suppose
