Doesn't look cheap to me!
Bill Phillips: Actually the Moto phones are good value for money and I mainly use the phone camera for quick pics of the grandchildren

Its all a bit on the dark side, Bill...fling it in the bin and get another one!

[Seriously...the toy cams in smartphones are perfectly adequate cams for most subjects and environments.]
Bill Phillips: They are very handy and you don't always have a camera with you but you always have your phone
It does a fine job!
Bill Phillips: They are useful. I mainly use it for quick pics of the kids

This looks like something, apart from the dimensions, that I might have taken with my first digital camera. It would be interesting to see what you could get from it if you Lightroomed it half to death..
Bill Phillips: This was after lightroom

I bought a new smart phone after my previous and extremely crappy one found its way into our washing machine
The new one cost me absolutely nothing and then a contract of £10 a month ... it suits my needs admirably
Bloody smart phones do everything ... I think they will replace humans soon
Bill Phillips: Your ten quid a month goes in part to pay for the so called free phone.I bought a sim only deal for Ange and I and a couple of cheap phones. As you say they do everything.
Quite a good picture isn't it. I have an oridnary phone but it does have a camera which is awful, but then it is only 1mB!
Bill Phillips: Mine is 13mp but of course the sensors are tiny. My daughters both have Samsungs and they have better cameras but this isn't bad

A pretty property for sure.
Bill Phillips: The park close to where my daughter Helen lives.

Beautifully captured. Phone cameras are amazing
Bill Phillips: They are useful. I don't use mine much apart from getting snatch shots of the grandchildren

LOL at your reply to your no relation. It does have that "just past the very jaggly stage" of early digital cameras. Having said that, I've seen (and probably taken) a lot worse with a a proper camera.
Bill Phillips: To be fair I haven't really sat down and looked at what my phone can do . Normally i use it to get quick snaps of the kids. This has suffered a bit because I tried to get some detail into the sky
Nothing much wrong with this, Bill.
Bill Phillips: It isn't bad. I can see why people are using phones more. I use mine sometimes for getting quick snaps of the kids

a wonderful pano - the tree on the left might fall when the next hurricane will come.
Bill Phillips: As one weather forecaster once famously said just before we had one...we don't get hurricanes in this country
