If it wasn't for this chap from Droitwich you probably wouldn't be having Thanksgiving. So from Droitwich to all our American friends Happy Thanksgiving.

Of course Ginnie knows all about this!

Ole Ed found a rock?
Bill Phillips: Not just a rock but Plymouth Rock
I love this photo of Ginnie and Mr. Winslow. He beat the Buccleuch's of Scotland to America by about 40 years smile

J'aime cette petite statue, habituellement elles sont plus grandes. Happy Thanksgiving !
Bill Phillips: I think we should have built a bigger statue for such an important man

This is a very kind, appropriate posting today! Happy Thanksgiving! (I, too, have just received a Thanksgiving mail from my American friends)
Bill Phillips: We don't make enough of Edward Winslow in Droitwich.

Droitwich is the crucible of modern civilisation

Pass the salt..
Bill Phillips: This place should be a magnet for American tourists...and Droitwich should have built a bigger statue

This is a lovely image of our Ginnie. I also like the words which seem to be emanating from her head. I know how important family is to her.
Bill Phillips: I hadn't thought of that! You are very observant today Chad

Well, you live and learn. Does it then follow that because of him we then have those wonderful Black Friday sales now so that we can buy more stuff that we don't need?
Bill Phillips: I am sure he would not have approved of that or KFC

Just right, Bill. And it gives us an opportunity to see this nice picture of Ginnie which might have stayed in your archives
He did well for such a little guy...
Bill Phillips: People were much smaller in the 17th Century Frank
He was looking for spices to go with his salt?
Bill Phillips: Hahahahaha
A clever monument...
Bill Phillips: I wish it were bigger
I read about this somewhere the other day. It appears that not only have we over here taken on Halloween and Black Friday but shops are now getting into selling things for Thanksgiving celebrations, I dread to think what might be the next trend from over the pond!
Bill Phillips: Thanksgiving has no relevance to us whatsoever
