Wonderful train shot - I love the processing. You created a very iconic effect.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Beth. Old steam locos often look better not in colour!
Nice little bit of steam! I like the tones on this
Bill Phillips: Thanks E. A bit of good old sepia
This is FABULOUS, Bill.
Bill Phillips: I am flattered you think so Ginnie

As child I always say "Puff Puff" to describe a locomotive.
Bill Phillips: I think it is probably fairly universal for our generation then Philine

The ubiquitous pannier tank but decked out, quite improperly, in my opinion, in lined Brunswick green livery. These things were painted black, lined green was for the big boys..

An SVR shot?
Bill Phillips: To appear to a new audience they probably feel the need to tart things up a bit. Yes this was on the SVR
Yes Chris is quite right .. SVRhas tarted it up and so has WP
Bill Phillips: The locomotives do seem to be tarted up more and more. i, on the other hand, have merely presented the image in a fetching sepia toning

In view of Chris's comment, you have shown it sensibly in sepia, Bill
Bill Phillips: I think there is an increasing tendency to tart up the locomotives

Even the rails are polished - the enthusiasts are serious about their hobby. Great picture - the brown tint goes very well with the picture.
Bill Phillips: The SVR is very well run Louis
A fine shot Bill, I suspect this might eb Bridgenorth.
Bill Phillips: You suspect correctly Brian

What great processing, a lovely image Bill.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Anne. Pleased you like it. Like you I can seldom remember exactly what I did!
Good shot, Bill, a nice little loco.
