Jaguar 420 G

1969 vintage. The final version of the Mark X which ran from 1961 tpo 1970 . It ran alongside the newly introduced XJ6 which was a far better car in many ways. These were beautiful beasts even if they did only do about 15 miles to the gallon

Je trouve, qu'à  l'époque, elles avaient plus de classe que celles de maintenant.
Bill Phillips: The Jaguars of the 1960's were perhaps the most beautiful looking cars ever built in this country

A classic for its time. I can just imagine the treehuggers having fits knowing that this only does 15mpg.
Bill Phillips: Probably only about 10mpg round town!

I remember them well, objects of status and desire circa 1968
Bill Phillips: Indeed but the XJ6 was a quantum leap forward

You have done it proud, Bill!
Bill Phillips: Thanks Ray
Very good shot of a lovely vehicle Bill. One gripe (sorry) I might have moved slightly to the left so I didn't get that bit of the yellow car in the picture.
Bill Phillips: This is cropped Brian and there was a car next to the Jag. I took from three different viewpoints and there was always something in the shot! You know how it is sometimes. I did look at cloning the yellow car out or changing its colour but in the end it is only a record shot really so I didn't bother
Is that your second car, Bill smile Great treatment!
Bill Phillips: I wish!!!

Alcoholics Anonymous
Bill Phillips: As opposed to the Royal Alcoholics Club
Quite some treatment of this magnificent gas guzzler
Bill Phillips: They were beautiful to look at
Fiercely beautiful...
Bill Phillips: I would love to be able to own one!
It is quite elegant, isn't it!
Bill Phillips: Oh yes. Not as beautiful as the MkII which was a gem
