Birmingham

This is Chamberlain Square, named not after the Prime Minister Neville but his father Joseph. Joseph Was a leading industrialist in Birmingham and a successful Mayor. He was also a leading national politician in the late 19th and early 20th century. The tree in the distance is the one seen from the Tearooms in the museum and the Brimingham school of art can also be seen behind it....if you haven't been following the series you wil have to go back and have a look.

Good that the tree is there, Bill, or it might be a little gloomy and dreary!

Another excellent photograph of the second city Bill. The fancy brickwork on the road just adds to the quality. Good song too.
Bill Phillips: Pleased you like my snap Chad
"i want i want!" seems like it is the same everywhere these days, Bill! but a lovely picture you have presented today.
Bill Phillips: We live in a very selfish world and yet appeals from charities are so often generously supported

a boulevard , oh sorry, a Square- but where are the passengers?
Bill Phillips: Happily all at the shops
Thank goodness for that tree.
Bill Phillips: It is a fine tree. Birmingham is a city of many trees
Some fine buildings once again, and I rather like that little kiosk below the tree.
Bill Phillips: Has a continental look to it Brian

It looks very relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle in and around the shopping areas.
Bill Phillips: It was nice and quiet here but only a couple of hundred yards away there are shops swarming with folk!
Bridgnorth looks better.
Did you not have any film in your camera.
Bill Phillips: Where does one put film into a digital camera Michael?
A fine bit of paving! Now's the time to dig it up and lay cable smile
Bill Phillips: Many a true word Tom

I like the perspective here and the pattern of the paviors. what are the round objects set int the pavement on the right - lights?
Bill Phillips: I don't know. There are no normal street lights by the look of it so perhaps they are
