Daffodils for Marie Curie

For a feww years now our Lions club had helped Marie Curie with their Fund raising. This basically involves standing outside Morrisons Supermarket in Droitwich wearing a silly hat and hoping people will put money in the can. Happily they do.

Oh by the way the dog is called Daisy

I know that happy hat caught the attention of the people and good for you. You can be proud that the Lions Club does make a difference. I remember when I was in Warsaw I passed Marie Curies house, she is the only female that got two Nobel prizes for two different sciences.
And yes it is the 1st day of Spring, you fit in well smile
Bill Phillips: It is the Equinox which is a sign that winter is over.
I suppose Daisy is the main draw, then, Bill??? smile And who can resist Jeremy Irons, let alone Marie Curie!
Bill Phillips: Daisy was a fine dog. Marie Curie Nurses are held in very high regard

About a week ago we had a lot of similarly attired people in Bath. You can't say they don't stand out..
Bill Phillips: Marie curie nurses are highly regarded so looking a twit is worth it

In our French lesson we read the biography of Marie Curie, I didn't know that has been involved in charity activities.
Bill Phillips: Marie Curie nurses are very highly regarded for their cancer care Philine

Marie Curie, une grande dame française.
Bill Phillips: Indeed Martine, and the cancer care nurses are a fine tribute to her name
You look lovely Bill.
Bill Phillips: I look a twit but it was worth it as we raised over £500 for Marie Curie nurses
Daffodils are usually a happier flower. You look good in yellow though.
Bill Phillips: Don't I look a ray of sunshine then Mary?
I like your little helper was he thereto guard the takings.
Bill Phillips: She was far too friendly to be much of a guard dog Martin grin
You are a brave man to stand there with that hat on but I do admire all the work you and your friends do for charity.
Bill Phillips: I am used to making a fool of myself Brian grin

I have a dog, just like Daisy. Like with you and Daisy, she sometimes chooses to keep me in my place, especially if it for a worthy cause.
Bill Phillips: We were chatting to the owner when he came out. Apparently she is a real softie
ha ha ha you do get into some things Bill./ You make me feel a let down in the charity sector.
Bill Phillips: We have been doing this for several years now and the hat draws people!
Well done by the way.
Bill Phillips: Thanks. We made over £500 so it was worth looking a twerp!

Our dog daisy would have been barking mad at the sight of you
Bill Phillips: She would probably eat the hat
You're pretty well irressistable!
Bill Phillips: I can't deny it Tom
