It seems the butcher might be eating all the pork sausages, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Old Tiffo is suggesting that it is me posing there
I imagine they keep pretty busy!
Bill Phillips: It was always regarded as a very good shop and that it is still there suggests it remains so
I think its quite funny that the British heart foundation is at the end of this row of shops, Bill. smile
Bill Phillips: Hahahaha I hadn't thought of that Frank
Porky Down. So English, Bill. smile
Bill Phillips: I think this is the butcher's that my brother and I went to the same school as the son of the owner. His name was Chris Down and I believe he went on to work in the business

As long if you have a good product you will survive..
I see the owl tries to scare off the birds.....

Bill Phillips: Thank you for the link. My brother and I were at school at one time with Chris Down who now runs the business

And how good of you to pose outside in butcher's garb, above & beyond the call of sausages I'd call it..
Bill Phillips: Not just that but I have also demonstrated how Photoshop enables you to do extremely bad HDR

Oh yes, this is a very fine shop! But I remember that you have in Droitwich also a very good butchers shop. The butchers shops are dying out in our country.
Bill Phillips: We have a couple of very good butchers shops but Pork butchers are not very common these days. My brother and I went to school at one time with the Down who now runs the business

Now, I am wondering whether a butchery, specialising in pork, could survive here. Probably, if you prepare the cuts in all the different ways.

I see they still have a delivery bicycle ...
Bill Phillips: There are not that many here as far as I know.
The owner looks very proud though a bit stiff. Offer the man a drink.
Bill Phillips: Well he has been standing there a long time Mary
I know where this is but being a Sunday the butchers was closed and the bike and man would have been inside. When I was about 14 I wrote of a butchers bike like that in a road accident, if it hadn't been for the strong frame round the basket taking most of the collision I might not have lived to tell the tale.
Bill Phillips: I am trying to imagine you on a butcher's bike Brian grin

It is so nice t see a proper butcher's. I hope it get gets well patronised.
Bill Phillips: It always had a great reputation
They've certainly been going some time! Not many of those old butchers left.
Bill Phillips: The supermarkets have killed a lot of them off
the figure at the door may be cheerful but i doubt that pig on the display should be as smiling, Bill.
Bill Phillips: He clearly doesn't understand what a pork butcher is Ayush!
i love this street scene Bill... and i'm sure that you would get some great sausage there...
and bacon buddies for breakfastgrin
....petersmile
Bill Phillips: I am sure I would too
