I've noticed a lot of the old churches in England are narrow and long. Do you know if there's a particular reason for this?
Bill Phillips: I suppose it might have something to do with the basic layout of a church being cruciform with a long nave crossed by the transept.
Cozy... I like it...
Bill Phillips: It is a charming little church

Drôle d'emplacement pour les radiateurs. Cela gâche un peu la beauté du lieu.
Bill Phillips: At least the people in that row of pews will be warm grin

St Peter's Church has a range of services each month, offering a warm welcome to people of all ages.

The whole church gathers together to start the month with All-age Worship and on the other weeks children enjoy their own activities
and teaching for part of the service in the growing Sunday Club.
Bill Phillips: Thank you for this riveting information
Très belle , le plafond est magnifique ..

Bill Phillips: Thank you. I am pleased you like it

I think you took us to visit this church, Bill
Bill Phillips: Did we do this as well as St Andrew's?
Very good young Bill, must of been taken on one of your better days.
Bill Phillips: Taken in virtual darkness Michael which probably explains a lot
I'm presuming this is looking down the church from the chancel end, in which case the chancel seems to be quite narrow, but whatever, it is a lovely building.
Bill Phillips: The church of ST. PETER consists of a chancel 26 ft. 6 in. by 16 ft. 1 in., a modern south vestry and organ chamber, north transept 19 ft. 4 in. by 18 ft., south transept 17 ft. by 19 ft. 4 in., nave 43 ft. 10 in. by 19 ft. 5 in., a west tower 10 ft. 9 in. square and a modern south porch. These measurements are all internal.

It's a fine little church. I like the floor pattern.
Bill Phillips: I agree. The floor is very pleasing on the eye Alan
