Katie Fforde, née Catherine Rose Gordon-Cumming (born 27 September 1952), is a British romance novelist.

She is founder of the Katie Fforde Bursary for writers who have yet to secure a publishing contract. She was for many years a committee member of the Romantic Novelists' Association and was elected its twenty-fifth chairman (2009–2011) and later its fourth president. In June 2010 she was announced as a patron of the UK's first National Short Story Week
Bill Phillips: Thank you for this fascinating information.

Do you have helpers for this clear out? never heard of Katie Fforde. Is she related to A. Norwegian Fjord?
Bill Phillips: Not as far as I know. Chris has provided a fine potted history of the lady which is well worth reading

Never read anything by her either, nor Fiona Barton for that matter.
Bill Phillips: I had never even heard of Fiona Barton
I think it looks pretty good Bill, but then I'm easily pleased.
Bill Phillips: Very true Chad
slow and steady, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Methodical Ayush
This must have built up over a really long period Bill, I guess it's all got to come out again on Saturday.
Bill Phillips: It doesn't take long Brian. I get a lot of stuff and also when it comes back from the sale it isn't really possible to put it away properly
