Hmmmm...it certainly has limited appeal to me, Bill.
Bill Phillips: Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,1
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
Oh - that is terribly boring...
Bill Phillips: The front "gardens" are almost non-existent
M,mmm, you know my thoughts, Bill, the names also are so similar, just occasionally someone comes up with something original, more likely is something really pretentious.
Bill Phillips: We have plenty of those in Droiters. Tagwell Heights ....about 50 yards from the M5! Copperfields....built on the site of the old police training centre and so on.

Nestled close to the River Salwarpe and with views of open countryside and the Malvern Hills, Copcut Rise is a peaceful development surrounded by natural beauty. The development is just on the edge of Droitwich Spa, a historic town in the Salwarpe River Valley famed for its salt water springs, and has great transport links both to the town centre and Worcester city.

Offering a range of semi-detached and detached homes and town houses with 2 to 5 bedrooms, Copcut Rise has something for everyone.

So says the advertisement. I wouldn't want to live there. Is this one of those government announced new
garden town developments?
Bill Phillips: No this was one of the Government's you have to build X number of houses and a token number of them have to be "affordable"

These have the advantage of being detached, Bill - no noise coming through those thin interior walls
Bill Phillips: The majority of what is being built is detached Lisl. There will be some 2 and 3 bed semis I expect. Why don't we build nice terraces any more?

Another 10 years and they will have been individualised with porches and extensions, one will be really run down, another painted a disgusting shade of powder blue and you will hanker for the good old days when they were little boxes all the same. ;o)
Bill Phillips: Hahahaha. It is amazing how many of them will look tatty within a few years
As I said yesterday in 5 or 10 years they will be fine and if you need housing....
Bill Phillips: They will always be charmless as is so much of what is built
Just looking for the 'affordable' ones among those, although of course what is affordable to one person is far from that for another. They featured Virginia Water on the news last night re the new garden towns thing, I wonder what an affordable house would cost there?
Bill Phillips: I remember visiting a building site in Virginia Water over 20 years ago and the houses started at 600K then!

Start building council houses again
Bill Phillips: Exactly and stop forcing housing associations to sell them off.

Hahahah.. your bloke in the north has summed up the future quite well. I like the garden fences on the right; that should keep the riff raft out.
Bill Phillips: I'm not convinced there is a future grin
Dullsville perhaps but you have composed a very fine photograph Bill.
Bill Phillips: I am pleased you consider it so Chad
This doesn't help, I have to go looking for a rest home tomorrow for mum and dad.
Mmm - pretty dull!
Location is everything...
