The light in this really makes a mood for the shot. Emotional impact! Good balance in composition and use of light.
Bill Phillips: Thanks Bonnie. This took 5 bracketed exposures
I can see why family members might be happy with visiting a place like that, Bill!
Bill Phillips: It is a lovely churchyard Ginnie

I wonder how they'd describe a sky like that on a BBC weather forecast?
Bill Phillips: They would probably say it was raining

A bit of light on a dark subject - or would that be a grave subject?
Bill Phillips: I was gravely serious about this picture Louis
Which town is that then Bill?
Bill Phillips: No idea. There used to be very fine wooden signs but they rotted and have been removed.

This works a treat, great shot into the sun. HDR put to good use.
Bill Phillips: The hardest part was getting any detail in the sky
Twiddled to perfection. What a nice scene.
Bill Phillips: Thank you Mary. It is a beautifully kept churchyard with a fine view over the town

Perhaps the mourners would enjoy the view whilst they say their goodbyes,
Bill Phillips: They might indeed Alan...you can see Waitrose from up here
A very fine shot Bill, one I would freely put in front of any judge just to hear what they say, apart from that flare spot in the centre which I would do something about.
Bill Phillips: I left the flare in as, on this shot, it doesn't bother me.
Impressive lighting, Bill.
Bill Phillips: It was a glorious day Tom
Nice use of flare!
Bill Phillips: Nearly blinded myself taking this!
