Je n'aime pas trop ces bâtiments, je trouve qu'ils font un peu prison.
Bill Phillips: I can see what you mean. They are warehouses and are actually quite handsome when seen in full colour
I think it suites the subject very nicely!
Bill Phillips: Thank you E. It has had mixed reviews. Naturally Michael hates it grin

Interesting 'Speicherhäuser'/warehouses - we could be in Bristol or Hamburg.
Bill Phillips: They are a very traditional style I think Philine
Un quartier d'un autre temps !

Suppressed colour bringing out the greens this time, interesting.
Bill Phillips: Chad is unimpressed so i may be onto something grin
Bitto fat Widdle! I appreciate your experimentation here, but feel that you have washed out any sense of drama or excitement. B&w would have suited this just fine. Anyway, don't let me stop you widdling Bill, widdle away.
Bill Phillips: I like it when you make proper comments Chad. Even if I don't always agree with what you say. I have posted pictures of the docks taken from almost this exact point in glorious full colour and probably also in b&w. Certainly to get any real atmosphere or drama b&w is probably the best option. However, here I have tried a much reduced and desaturated pallete in an attempt to give a different feel to a familiar scene

I must get up there again at some point; it looks to be fascinating place. I was disappointed to learn that you went there for shopping; surely that it the preserve of ladies? Who was Albert Warehouse, by the way?
Bill Phillips: It is worth a visit
I dislike shopping but here I usually get some bargains and even I have to wear clothes
At least it is cheap to park on a Sunday and I get to have a look at the docks
I believe he was the consort of Queen Victoria

Warehouses that will fill with rotting wares as Brexit swings into inaction...
Bill Phillips: You paint a depressing future for the old country Ray.

Bill Phillips: I am obliged to you Anne
Have you no shame man.
Bill Phillips: You know the answer to that already grin

I recognise this and it looks better in your picture, Bill
Bill Phillips: I am pleased you think so Lisl
There's a danger you could get good at this, Bill smile
Bill Phillips: You never know Tom. Stranger things have happened...just look at the US election

Great processing - you captured the mood of the place.
Bill Phillips: Pleased you think so Beth
I love the presentation, Bill. There is history there for sure.
Bill Phillips: There is. Gloucester was once a major port
